Helping Pittsburgh history return to the skies.

Houdini 100 recognizes the Pittsburgh firefighters for their truck support for The Great Firetruck Ladder Escape.

On October 31, 2026, Lee Terbosic will attempt an upside-down straitjacket escape from a Pittsburgh firetruck ladder above Arts Landing, honoring Houdini’s 1925 Pittsburgh ladder escape and the centennial of his passing. The lifeline tethered to Lee’s feet will be set ablaze, giving him only a limited amount of time to free himself.

Thank you to Pittsburgh’s firefighters for being part of this night and for serving our city.
